Chain Conveyors
A few of the many
types and applications for Marwel chain conveyors are
illustrated here.
Our extensive
experience in this field, and in many industries,
leaves us well qualified to give practical help and
advice in selection and design to meet your own
production requirements. May we remind you that a
Marwel Conveyors sales or design engineer is always
available for free consultation at your premises to
offer this service on any problem or proposed
installation. Chain conveyors have been designed to
cover many varied applications in industry and employ
several distinct patterns including twin chain,
multiple chain, in-floor, on-floor and heavy duty
overhead.
They are particularly
useful where high temperatures are involved, and
special designs with expansion joints and automatic
spray lubrication are available. Frequent use is also
found in complicated layouts of 90 degree change of
direction in conjunction with intermeshed roller
tracks. They facilitate the use of stop and release
units or intermediate hold positions often employed in
automatic systems.

Many patterns of chain are available including
standard transmission, standard conveyor, case chain,
458 and 678, and numerous special variations. The
correct selection to meet the loads and conditions
involved is of vital importance. Plastic or stainless
steel chains are sometimes employed where conditions
justify the use of these materials.
